Earth Capital’s History
Earth Capital was founded in 2008 by Gordon Power and Stephen Lansdown as an early-stage growth investment manager, investing across the UK and Europe in clean technology and sustainability-driven solutions.
From its inception, Earth Capital has focused on the connection between strong commercial performance and positive environmental and social impact. This approach led to the development of its award-winning proprietary tool, the Earth Dividend®, designed to provide a holistic assessment of an investment’s contribution to sustainable development while supporting continuous improvement in both impact and financial performance.
Over nearly two decades, Earth Capital has been recognised for its leadership in responsible investment, including:

In January 2025, Stakeholderz, a corporate finance, fundraising and M&A advisory firm focused on private markets, acquired the Earth Capital name and its pioneering Earth Dividend® model. The business was subsequently rebranded as Earth Capital, marking a new phase in its evolution.
Today, Earth Capital combines its heritage in impact-led investing with corporate finance, venture building and investment expertise. With the continued support of Gordon Power as part of the Earth Capital Advisory Board, the firm is focused on helping growth-stage companies scale solutions to global sustainability challenges while delivering measurable commercial and impact outcomes.
