Jim Totty speaks at the Cambridge Cleantech Investor Meeting

Jim Totty spoke to the Cambridge Cleantech Investor Meeting on 30^th October 2018 on ‘Trends in Cleantech Investing’. He discussed how ‘Clean’ and ESG themed investments are outperforming their ‘non-clean’ peer groups. He outlined which sectors have seen most activity in the UK in 2018 and the ‘hot’ investment areas. Jim cautioned on defining investments as ‘clean’ without performing full whole life impact analysis and illustrated this with the current controversy about the environmental and social impact of lithium and cobalt mining for battery technologies. He concluded by highlighting how Earth Capital UK deal flow is at an all time high in 2018 despite Brexit uncertainty.
